Delicate and deadly
Flowers have been one of the longest standing symbols of femininity due to associations with beauty, fragility, and innocence. These affiliations insist that both flowers and those identifying as feminine are harmless, forgetting that both are capable of defending themselves. Each plant depicted in this series, while beautiful, is armed with its own deadly poison to dissuade any foolish enough to mishandle it. To further illustrate the point, a golden spider lurks within each piece, referencing the tendency of female spiders to cannibalize the males they’ve mated with. In a political climate where rights are being stripped from women, it bears reminding to those in power that we may appear delicate, but we can be their undoing.

CARE
To prevent tarnish, keep in a dry, airtight container to prevent oxidation, ideally a jewelry box lined with anti-tarnish cloth, but a ziploc bag with an anti-tarnish tab (provided) works as well. Do not use a polishing cloth on the intentionally darkened parts piece as it will take off the patina finish (use on polished web and spider is fine). Do not use anything abrasive to clean jewelry as it can scratch the metal. If you have any questions on maintaining your new piece please feel free to reach out to me.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Pieces may be returned in an unworn state for a refund within 30 days of receiving. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and any loss in value if the piece arrives in a damaged condition.

Custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange.
If a piece requires alteration for sizing or comfort I am happy to make that alteration for you, usually for free (not including shipping). Additionally, if a piece requires repair/ polishing over time please let me know and I'll take care of it with cost being determined on a case by case basis.
